Ink-ifada, a play off of a phrase Intifada, is to pay tribute to those in the world fighting for their dignity, respect and humanity. Intifada or “uprising” is a term which grew from a non violent resistance movement in Palestine in 1987. Palestinians demanded their rights to freedom from the Israeli occupation by protests in the streets, an Israeli soldier shot a youth and the people had enough. The power of resistance to oppression lives in all forms of expression, we choose the ink for now.
